I am a social worker by education, plus, I have acquired an extensive in-service training in psychosocial rehabilitation and quality management.
I got my team leader`s experience while working in the Tartu Foundation Mental Health Care Centre (1994-2002) as manager of the supportive rehabilitation and community work department, and in the Tallinn Mental Health Care Centre (2002.-2009) as deputy director.
Starting from 1995, I have been working in the mental health area as trainer. The subject of the training courses has been related to the need to develop mental health services in Estonia, and they have been carried through in cooperation with my colleagues from the Estonian Psychosocial Rehabilitation Association, and in the recent times also with the peer counselors network that is developing its activities under the auspices of the EPRA.
In every person there are hidden strengths and gifts. It is exciting to go on discovering them, contributing to positive changes in people as well as organizations. Working as an expert in the social sphere offers endless possibilities to do that and lots of opportunities for learning for the expert him/herself.
